Elmina Ferguson

Elmina was previously the Assistant Headteacher for English at the Excelsior Academy. She is now the Regional Director for English across the Community Schools Trust. She enjoys creating curriculum and ensuring that pupils achieve beyond expectations.

Elmina is also a prolific author in English education, having published a quotation bank for The Tempest, a teacher guide for the A Level text Passing, and the Harper-Collins Snap Guide to My Name is Leon. She was recently elected as a Fellow of the English Association for this and other work. Elmina also leads the Post-16 Working Party for the National Association of Teachers of English, and examines and moderates both GCSE and A Level English.
