R.Ray-Choudhuri

R.Ray-Choudhuri is a drama teacher with thirty-five years of experience working in East London schools. Most recently, she served as a Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for safeguarding and inclusion before moving into her cross-trust role. For fifteen years, she has been an Assistant Principal Examiner for GCSE Drama, and she has written about the arts for a range of national educational publications. She has also consulted on the development of arts curricula with the DfE, the Institute of Education, Ofqual and Edexcel.

Ray has directed student work at the National Theatre, the Globe and the Hackney Empire. She firmly believes that all young people should have the opportunity to perform in a professional setting.

She now works across all schools in the Trust, developing and promoting the creative subjects to ensure that every student can experience a first-class arts education.
