Ekhlas has been leading school improvement in the CST since 2014. Ekhlas was pivotal in raising standards and transforming Forest Gate Community School and Cumberland Community school in the the capacity of Deputy Headteacher. 

In his current role as Headteacher at Cumberland Community school, Ekhlas has steered rapid improvement in student outcomes and led the school from an Ofsted rating of ‘RI’ to ‘Good’ in 2022.

Ekhlas is passionate about developing the child as a whole and creating social change through education.
