Ciara Emmerson

Ciara has over twenty years of teaching experience, most recently as the headteacher of Haggerston School in Hackney, where she has served for the past seven years.  

Ciara has a deep understanding of school leadership, curriculum and teaching development. She has undertaken strategic work as part of the Hackney SEND Partnership Board and is passionate about providing high quality support and intervention to help children overcome barriers to learning. Ciara is an advocate of Arts education and provision of wider opportunities which foster confidence and aspiration, such as sport and music. This will be an area she will lead on across the trust. 

Ciara will also provide strategic leadership to our sixth form offer, supporting schools to ensure that their curriculum offer evolves with the changing educational landscape and ensuring that CST schools are offering exceptional specialist provision to Post 16 students.
